(RNN) - Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the city of San Francisco, a 5-year-old boy who is battling leukemia will become "Batkid" for a day.

According to cancer.org, leukemia is the most common cancer in children and teens, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation is creating a fun-filled day of everything "Batman" for him.

Miles, whose last name was not provided, will capture villains and save the day on the streets of San Francisco, which will be transformed into Gotham City on Nov.15.

The police chief will call Miles, whose alter ego is Batkid, to rescue a damsel-in-distress from cable-car tracks and take down "the Puzzler" before lunch.

Riding along with Batman in the Batmobile, Miles will chase "Mr. P," Make-A-Wish's version of the Penguin.

After a day of fighting crime, San Francisco's mayor Ed Lee will present Miles with the key to the city.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation still needs volunteers and donors to cheer on Miles. To sign up or donate click here.
