There are big changes coming for Water Gas and Light Customers. They could get in the cable T. V. business.

WG&L is in the process of moving fiber optics to a new telecommunications department. That could lead to new services, expansion, and lower costs. Customers could have new choices for cable, Internet, and phone services. The fiber optics should be installed by the first of the year.

Interim General Manager Tom Berry says, "Water Gas and Light in the end is the city's business and the customers and citizens in Albany receive a dividend for that business."

For those looking for a job, positions are currently available in the developing telecommunications department with WG&L. For questions about services that will become available, if you have an idea for service that can be provided with fiber optics or to learn about the positions now open with the telecommunications department call WG&L.
