BERRIEN CO., GA (WALB) -

Berrien County High School is now $50,000 dollars richer.

Carla Burns, teacher at Berrien County High School, said she received an e-mail from Rack Room Shoes asking teachers to submit photos of their students for a chance to win a $50,000 dollar grant.

She did just that. She submitted a photo and encouraged her friends, family, and others at the school to vote for her photo.

"We promoted it every single day," Burns said. "the community got behind it, the school got behind it, the students got behind it and 5,000 votes later we received a $50,000 dollar computer lab grant," Burns continued.

Burns's students want the money to be used to buy new computers for the school.
