12 year old loses basketball game, throws squirrel through window

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An East Albany family was shocked when someone threw a squirrel yard ornament through their front window Sunday night, narrowly missing their dog.

Just before 6:30 p.m. Ted Curry heard his front window smash and found the ornament on their couch. Curry said a group of boys told him their 12 year old friend threw it because he was mad over losing a basketball game.  Curry is glad it didn't hit his dog, Peaches.

"My dog got a little sleeping area, and if they would have thrown a little lower they would have probably knocked him off his little sleeping area," said homeowner Ted Curry. "But thank God he didn't get hurt or anything."

Curry said he thinks it's just a case of "boys will be boys," but he hopes the boy's family will help pay for fixing the window.
