(WMC-TV) - A woman kidnapped and carjacked in Mississippi was driven to Memphis and raped. The accused kidnapper then drove her back home and dropped her off, according to police.

Michael Ellington is being held in Shelby County Jail on $500,000 bond. He faces a long list of criminal charges.

At the Mallard Creek Apartment complex in Horn Lake Saturday, police say Ellington pulled a gun on a woman and stole her 1998 model SUV while she was still inside. He raped her while he drove across the state line into Memphis, according to authorities.

Just nine minutes away at Elvis Presley Boulevard and Scaife police say Ellington stopped the car, pulled behind a business complex, and raped her again. Then he took her back to the apartment complex and kicked her out of her car.

Twelve hours later, Memphis police found the SUV near Winchester and Millbranch roads with Ellington still behind the wheel, which is just a few hundred yards from his listed address at a gated apartment complex.

His bond is ten percent of what investigators asked for, but it still a significant number.
