MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Authorities say they checked almost sixty stores that sell alcohol products, and twelve of those stores sold alcoholic beverages to under aged customers.

They say that cases were made against those clerks.

The 'sweep' was done in the last few days, and law enforcement is keeping track of who sells to minors and who does not.

"To see the businesses checking more and us able to make fewer cases off of those establishments then shows that the businesses are doing what they're suppose too and we really do appreciate that,"  said Sgt. Daniel Lindsay of the Moultrie Police Department

The 12 offenders were issued subpoenas to face a judge on charges of selling alcohol to a minor.
