Investigation continues into facade collapse at downtown building

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused part of a building to collapse in downtown Savannah.

Major damage was left behind at the vacant building that was once known to house Sorry Charlie's on Congress Street in City Market. Firefighters say it appears too much rain may have caused the facade to crumble early Saturday morning.

City property managers and structural engineers are conducting a thorough investigation to make sure the rest of the building is secure.
