Restaurant supply business robbed in broad daylight

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Owners of an Albany business are speaking out after they have been hit by thieves twice this week. Patricia Kalkavouras of USA Restaurant Equipment was ready to drive to the bank when she found the company car was stolen just after 9:30 Friday morning.

The car is a black Ford Focus and has USA Secure Patrol on both sides. The car theft comes two days after thieves broke the back window of the business and took the cash register which contained a substantial amount of money.

USA Restaurant Supply has been operating for 30 years and the owners are very upset after the recent thefts.

"My brother said 'My God, my God, the car is gone!' So it was parked right in front. I'm very bitter, and upset, because I have been robbed, and forgotten too many times," Patricia Kalkavouras said.

The owners would like to see more police patrol through the area. The license plate of the stolen car is Georgia: AXP 6262.

If anyone has seen the stolen car or has any information, you are asked to call Albany Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.
