Kauffman Tire sponsors job fair

Kauffman Tire, a family owned and operated company since 1936, will be hosting a job fair at the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center on the South Georgia Technical College Americus campus on Thursday, November 14th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Kauffman Tire is opening new stores in the Cordele, Albany, and Valdosta areas and are currently accepting applications for part-time and full-time positions.  There are potential openings for technical, sales, and management career paths.  Employment is contingent upon background, drug, and MVR approval.

Kauffman Tire is a leader in the industry in retail, wholesale, commercial and E-commerce division.  They are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.

    Police found 26-year-old Michael Taylor shot at June Bug's Grocery store Friday night.  He died shortly after. The victim's co-workers said he was always willing to lend a hand. They believe that may have cost him his life.

    Three Albany sisters started a music group last year.       And today, they took their music from the studio to the streets, for their first official music video. 'The Purpose Girlz' invited the entire community to be part of their single called, 'Together'.

    The city of Albany can now experience racing at it's finest after years of one track being closed down. The Albany Motor Speedway had to close down for two years but as of earlier this month, they're finally back open.
