Devin Booker to play college ball at Kentucky

MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

Surrounded by family and cheering friends, Moss Point's Devin Booker announced Thursday afternoon that he will play college basketball at the University of Kentucky.

Booker may be the coast's most sought after basketball player in two decades. Scouting services rank him as one of the nation's top 30 high school hoops recruits.

Booker and his family held a news conference in the Moss Point High School gym to make the big announcement. The standout player was also considering Michigan, Michigan State and Missouri.

Just last weekend, Booker traveled to Columbia, MO to watch the University of Missouri recognize his father, who played point guard at Mizzou in 1993-94 when the Tigers finished 14-0 in the Big 8 Conference.
