ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany State University SAAC and Hyper Clubs invite everyone to the 5K walk and jog event this Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

This event is in honor of former Sports Information Director, Edythe Bradley, who died suddenly right after Thanksgiving 2012, of an aneurysm.

She was the Sports Information Director for 16 years and was an organ donor.

"This is an opportunity for us to honor her with this event and raise awareness about donating organs for people who are still fighting for their lives," said Stan McCormick, Sports Information Director.

Edythe Bradley was the longest Sports Information Director in the University's history.

The Walk/Jog around campus is to raise awareness about organ and tissue donations.

The event starts at Hyper Gym and is free and open to the public.
