52 day dry spell in Tucson ends over weekend

After 52 days of no rain at the Tucson International Airport (TIA), Saturday November 1st broke the dry spell.  

The graphic below is from Thursday, October 31st. It shows how 2013 stacks up. 

At 52 days (51 on Thursday. Friday was day 52.) it is the 8th longest fall dry streak on record for Tucson.  

All of 2013 has been mostly dry.

July is the only month that measured above average rainfall at the TIA.

Every other month as been below average.

At the end of October, TIA is 4.61" below average rainfall.

Nearly 62% of the state is experiencing some level of drought conditions.

Conditions could worsen if the dry spell continues into November.
