JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Three students were sent to the hospital after an accident involving their school bus and a log truck Wednesday afternoon. A witnesses told WLOX News there didn't appear to be any serious injuries.

Officials with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department said the log truck accidentally clipped the school bus on Old Fort Bayou Road and Semmes Road. No word on if the driver of the log truck was ticketed.

Accident reconstruction crews will now take over to determine what exactly happened.

We've reached out to the Jackson County School District to find out which school the students attended, but we haven't heard back yet.
