MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

A Moultrie man convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend is seeking a new trial.

Mack Trimble Junior asked for a third trial Wednesday in court. Trimble was found guilty of murder and aggravated assault in 2006 and 2011, and a judge sentenced him to life in prison plus 10 years for the June 2005 shooting death of Cegi Hall. She was the mother of Trimble's child.

Trimble was granted a new trial in 2011 because it was revealed that one of the jurors in his first trial had lost a child to murder.

Judge Jim Tunison did not make a final decision on the request in court Wednesday.
