PAVO, GA (WALB) -

A Pavo woman arrested after her toddler tested positive for meth is out on $5,000 bond.

Colquitt County sheriff's investigators say 29-year-old Teri Ann Hardy was charged with second degree cruelty last Thursday, a felony count.

The mother of two had a history of drug related offenses and turned herself in.

Investigators are unsure how the woman's two year-old ingested the meth, but said their home at 492 Lawrence Road is a cooking location for drugs.

The woman's other young child tested negative. Both are staying with relatives, and the Department of Family and Child Services is investigating the case.

Hardy was released Thursday evening after posting bond, and is expected to appear before a judge for her arraignment in the coming weeks.
