TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

Police in Tifton have announced that they have arrested a 17 year old teen that they say is connected to the reported bomb threat at Tift County High School.

17 year old Orante Garmon, a student at the school, has been arrested and was taken to jail Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with transmitting a false public alarm, which is a felony.

Police say he made the call of a threat around 9:30 a.m. Investigators were able to trace the call to a phone at the school, and arrest Garmon around 2:30 p.m.

Garmon bonded out of jail around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
