Georgia State Patrol Troopers are urging caution at Eight Mile Road and Flowing Well Road because of changes at the railroad crossing there.
The railroad crossing arms that would come down when a train was crossing the road have been removed.
Stop signs were installed in both directions on Eight Mile Road, but they were also taken down.
Sergeant First Class Shawn Urquhart said "I don't know if it's a transitional phase that they are going through. To put new arms up or put the stop signs back in place. But I just want the motorists to know to be careful when they are on Eight Mile Road."
Troopers are trying to find out why those safety changes were made.
For now, they urge motorists to slow down and look twice for trains.
