Two defendants who testified against the shooter of 17-year Marley Lion will be sentenced for their role in the murder on November 20, according to Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson.

Wilson says a sentencing hearing will be held the afternoon of November 20 for Julius Brown and Bryan Rivers. Both suspects have pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for testifying against Ryan Deleston.

Deleston was found guilty of the murder of Marley Lion, and was sentenced to life in prison without parole earlier this month.

According to testimony, Rivers admitted he was part of the plan to rob the teen who was napping in his car at a Savannah Highway shopping center in June of last year. However, Rivers said he didn't want Lion to be shot.

Police say Lion interrupted plans to rob a nearby bar. Rivers testified after Lion turned on his car alarm, Deleston ran off, went back to the SUV and shot and killed Lion.

Both Rivers and Brown were allowed to plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter in exchange for their testimony against Deleston.
