Driver injured in Huntsville wreck

State troopers were on the scene of a wreck Monday morning. State troopers were on the scene of a wreck Monday morning.
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

One man was taken to the hospital after a wreck Monday morning.

The crash happened on Hobbs Island Road around 7:30 a.m.

State Troopers say the man lost control when a tire blew out on the car. The car slammed into a ditch and hit some trees.

The man was walking and talking after the crash. He was taken to Huntsville Hospital with unknown injuries.

    The Valdosta Fire Department held a family and friends day Saturday welcoming 10 new recruits to the team.  The event allowed the community to come out and welcome the new firefighters and their families to the Valdosta Fire Department family.
