A guardrail impaled a car, narrowly missing the driver, who amazingly walked away from a crash Monday morning.
The driver told police he began hydroplaning, and the car turned sideways and slammed into the railing. The rail went through the passenger-side window.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. near Old Harding Pike and Sawyer Brown Road.
Police say they believe speed played a factor in the crash, but there is no word if the driver will face any citations.
Police say the driver did not have any significant injuries.
