(WMC-TV) – The school crossing guard who lost more than money during an armed robbery could see justice as her suspected attacker heads to court.
Action News 5 was the first to tell you the story of Linda Foster earlier in this month and how the well-liked Memphis school crossing guard was robbed of her false teeth and hearing aid.
She's not only thankful she's alive but happy that she could help solve the case.
Foster identified 20-year-old Donell Johnson in a police photo lineup. He is now facing aggravated robbery charges.
Police say Johnson stole Foster's purse which contained her teeth and hearing aid during an armed robbery at an ATM. Thanks to help from local businesses, Foster has a new hearing aid, a new full set of teeth and renewed confidence.
"I think I look like a different person now, I feel better I've got more confidence when I smile. I'm thankful I'm alive and I am…and I get to blow my whistle for another day," Foster said.
Donell Johnson, the suspect in this case, is being held on a $100,000 bond. Action News 5 will have the latest on what happens in court tonight at 5.
