Several armed robberies under investigation in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Authorities in Columbus are investigating several overnight armed robberies.

The most recent robbery was reported around 2:30 a.m. at the Summit Gas Station located on Williams Way. Police say one person entered the store and demanded money. This person is described as a male, 5' 6'' tall with a slim build. Police say he was wearing a black hoodie with a white vest, tennis shoes and a white baseball cap with a black bear on the front.

Just a few hours earlier, another armed robbery was reported at La Quinta Inn Hotel located in the 2900 block of Warm Springs Road. The holdup happened between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Police say the suspect walked in with a hand gun and demanded money from the front desk attendant.

Columbus Police are also looking for the two armed men who robbed the Circle K Convenient Store located in the 3800 block of Miller Road. The men are described as two black males around 5'10" tall and weighing about 130 to 140 pounds. Investigators say one suspect was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a black mask. The other suspect wore light colored pants and a black mask.

No injuries were reported .  Any person with information on any of these crimes is asked to call Columbus Police at 706-653-3400.

    Lee County Fire Chief David Forrester said there were two people in the home, and they saw one person in the front yard.  Two people in the home were transported to Phoebe Putney.
