A Highland Home School teenager has died from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident over the weekend.
Drew Alyiah Bradley, 16, was involved in a single vehicle accident at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday. The accident happened on County Road 59 within the Highland Home city limits.
Bradley was critically injured in the accident when her vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
Bradley was not wearing a seat belt, and was ejected from the car. She was airlifted to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery where she passed away Sunday morning.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but Alabama State Troopers say speed played a factor in the accident.
