Thursday night, family and friends came together to remember Tracy Clyde, the 42 year old who lost his life after he got into a confrontation with a police officer at this vacant home Monday.

"Anytime you get a man killed that aint got nothing in his pocket somebody needs to do something," said local minister.

Clyde's family shared memories about the man they loved.

"Funny, always laughing, teeth just white as pearl, he was good, good people, he loved to eat, we call him mackie, he liked to eat up everything, but I love my baby to death," said the Clyde family.

Many say the vigil was a time to focus on the positive and ignore the negative opinions they have been hearing on the web about Clyde.

"I didn't even see the lady, it's two sides to a story, I didn't even know how the lady looked, they just need to put themselves in our shoes basically, because if it was one of their family members or brothers they will feel the same way we feeling right now, they wouldn't be saying those nasty things," said the Clyde family.

Clyde's family believes he shouldn't have been killed, and they are hoping the officer who shot him is punished.

"A life for a life, he committed a crime he need to do the time, ain't no time, they need to bury him under the jail.
