SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

The City of Sylvester all came together to pink it out.

Wednesday was pink out day for everyone in the city to support breast cancer. People wore pink shirts for women and blue jeans for men. One breast cancer survivor says support like this helped her to beat the disease.

"Through faith, my courage, my strength, my friends, my friends, I beat it. I am a survivor," said Renee Johnson.

"I want to bring awareness to everyone. The school, the business, the community, everyone to fight for a cure," said Sharon Lyles, coordinator.

The community and several businesses around displayed pink and blue ribbons on doors to support the cause.
