Thronateeska hosts 'Dixie Highway' book signing

Thronateeska Heritage Center will host a book signing by local author Frank A. Gossett, Sr. Mr. Gossett at Thronateeska's Science Museum from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. today.

Gossett's latest book– The Dixie Highway In Southwest Georgia, covers the complete story of the making of the Dixie Highway though Southwest Georgia, from the inception of the project, through the official dedication in October 1915.

This factual story is taken from a compilation of newspaper articles from the Southwest Georgia cities through which the Dixie Highway traversed. In addition to The Dixie Highway, Frank has written other books documenting Albany and Southwest Georgia's history.

Gossett will be on hand to personalize books purchased at Thronateeska's gift shop. The book sells for $14.50 plus tax. Thronateeska members receive a 10% discount.
