People who visit Patriots Point now have a new way to travel back in time.A new interactive exhibit opened on Monday on the USS Laffey. It's a gun mount that was destroyed by a kamikaze attack in 1945 killing six crew members. The ship literally comes to life with static displays and simulations that will make you feel like you were in the middle of the attack.Several World War II veterans were at the launch and say today is an important day in history for them and the community. The exhibit was funded by the National Association of Destroyer Veterans.
