Atlanta police investigate stabbing

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Atlanta police are working to figure out what led to a man being stabbed in Northeast Atlanta.

Investigators told CBS Atlanta the victim and his friend were too intoxicated to answer officers' questions.

When APD officers arrived at the intersection of Monroe and Monroe Place in Northeast Atlanta, police found the man who was stabbed in the stomach.

That victim was taken to Grady Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Atlanta police hope that the victim recovers he will be able to give detective details of the incident.

    A man who was convicted of a sex crime in 2006 was placed in the Coffee County jail Tuesday, because he violated the terms of his parole, with his sex offender status.
