Police investigate early morning shooting

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Police are investigating an early morning shooting in South Albany.

According to reports around 2:30 am, officers responded to a call at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds on South Westover Blvd because of a large party.

While police were on scene shots were fired. One man was shot in his left foot. The victim, George Williams the III, was transported to Phoebe Putney North Hospital.

The incident is under investigation.
