ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A South Georgia dentist is trying out a new hobby that's giving him quite a sweet tooth.

Dr. Edward Green of Albany became a bee keeper a year ago. He started out with one hive and now has enough bees to support three hives.

Green and his wife love the outdoors and thought it would be a good idea to harvest local honey and give back to their garden.

"Bees do the pollination so they actually help my wives plants to give and as ingenious as they are they are hard little workers so they produce honey so we get a double affect pollination as well as the honey," said Dr. Edward Green, amateur bee keeper.

If you would like to taste his sweet honey, he'll give you a sample if swing by his office off West 3rd Avenue in Albany.  You can also purchase a bottle.
