ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Police are searching for a man they say robbed an East Albany restaurant at gunpoint late Tuesday night.

A man entered the Subway on the 2200 block of East Oglethorpe Blvd. around 10:45 and walked up to the counter demanding money from the register, according to APD.

Investigators say the man is about 5-foot-11 or  6 feet tall, with a slender build. They say he was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, and a green cap, possibly a Celtics or a Jets ball cap.

The employee said the robber walked in casually, and when he got to the register showed the employee a pistol and demanded them to "they empty the register and give [him] the money."

If you have any information on this robbery, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
