South Georgians raise money for boy scouts

Posted: Updated:

Folks gathered at Potters Community center in Dougherty County for a wild game dinner, auction, outdoor show, and gun raffle to support South Georgia boy scouts.

Businesses showcased their outdoor products, and folks enjoyed some food that might not be on their regular menu.

Organizers say it was a big success.

"This is the largest event the South Georgia council does each year, and we're very fortunate to have such a strong following, it's got a strong reputation, this is the event to be at in Albany, we're glad folks choose to be here with us," said Matt Hart, scout executive.

More than a thousand people attended Tuesday nights annual event.
