RAMP project trains high school students to fix problems in business administration systems
MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -
An area technical college is getting millions of dollars to help high school students get an early start on college. Moultrie Technical College received a $3 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Labor for the college's RAMP project for dually enrolled high school students.
It trains students to fix problems in business administration systems such as cyber security and infrastructure maintenance. School leaders say this is a growing field.
"It's so important that our students and the workforce be trained on being able to do everything from trouble shoot and to repair problems that could actually break down an entire business operation," said MTC President Jim Glass.
Moultrie Technical College started the RAMP project in 2009. 14 high schools currently participate.
