Police: Triple homicide suspect could be in New Orleans

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Investigators believe a man wanted for the murder of three Albany natives could be hiding out in Louisiana.

Robert Bell, 33, had been in Albany September 15th to pick up 34 year old Angelina Benton. Hours later in Gwinnett County officials say he ambushed Benton - fatally shooting her along with her 12 year old son Joseph McDonald and Benton's 19 year old godson Raynord Daniel.

Benton's boyfriend was also shot but survived.

Authorities in Lawrenceville say a suspect vehicle was reported seen in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 2nd.

They say they have reason to believe Bell is in New Orleans.

Bell was featured as one of WALB's Most Wanted just last week.

Investigators are offering a $5,000 reward through CrimeStoppers for information leading to an arrest and indictment of Bell.

Tipsters may remain anonymous and can provide tips by visiting www.crimestoppersatlanta.org, or by calling 404-557-TIPS (8477).
