CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

A new SAM Shortline director took over about 3-weeks ago.

Terry Miller is excited about all the great tourist attractions the SAM Shortline has to offer.

He wants to encourage folks to take a step back in time and take a ride through some of South Georgia's history.

"Our Mission here in the state of Georgia is to promote tourism get people riding the rails. It's one of those activities where you feel like you are stepping back in time because we don't get to ride on trains," said Terry Miller the Director of the SAM Shortline trains.

The train runs throughout the week and stops at different cities throughout the day giving you the opportunity to get off the train and explore different parks and museums.
