ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A handful of adventurous folks will be participating in the Paddle the Flint all day Saturday.

The scenic canoe ride will begin around 7:15 in the morning and go through the afternoon.

A guide will lead the group down the Flint river sharing his knowledge of the different plants and animals along the way.

It is a great opportunity to work on team work while enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

"These paddles are just really good for people to get out on the river it's excellent for families. It's excellent for groups and scout groups or any type of business group. If you wanted to get your company out here and do some paddling together," said Melissa Martin education manager for Flint Riverquarium.

It is too late to sign up for the event Saturday, but there are plenty of spots for the November 9th paddle.
