LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

Ron Rabun took over as Lee County manager last week.  He says his top priority is making sure Lee County remains a growing and thriving community.

"Well I want to come here and apply my experience, work with county commission and citizens, and bring us up a notch, I want us to rise to the next level in services in good government, and responsibility and citizen service, all that kind of stuff, bring us to the next level," said Ron Rabun, Lee County Manager.

Rabun is a former city manager in Milledgeville and Griffin and more recently spent 5-years as a private contractor working with local governments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
