OCILLA, GA (WALB) -

The armed robbery happened around 8:45 Monday night.

The clerk at this Citgo station in Ocilla was working as usual Monday night when suddenly he had a gun pointed at his face. As the robber demanded money, the clerk quickly placed his hands on his head.  Both the clerk and robber scrambled to get the money out of the cash register and into his bag.

The store owner is not worried about future attacks, but he is getting a little extra help to secure workers' safety.

"Not really the community like the police department they are going to help me out a little bit. They say they are going to put some more lights up and back there and everything you know," said the store owner Sunny Patel.

Here is another camera angle of the armed robber and you can see he points his gun at the only eyewitness and then directly at the clerk's head demanding money. The witness is in no rush to make a run for safety and is more worried about trying to buy a soda. Instead, he stays inside the store and watches the crime unfold. It seems like he is debating on leaving or staying to help. Finally the armed robber is satisfied with the amount of money and runs out of the store. While the eye-witness tries to purchase a soda. The clerk was not injured during the attack and the armed robber is still on the run.

Sunny is grateful for the quick response by the Ocilla Police Department.

"Thanks for our community and thanks for our Police Department," said Sunny.

Ocilla Police investigators talked to the clerk and the eyewitness, but so far that information has not led to an arrest.

If you recognize the masked gunman, call the Ocilla Police department at 468-7494 or their tipline at 468-tips.

Also, a $500-dollar reward has been posted to anyone who comes forward with information that leads to an arrest of the man in the video.
