ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany woman has been sentenced to life in prison in the stabbing case of her boyfriend.

Leslie Ballard, 36, received the life sentence and will spend at least 30 years of it in prison before she is eligible for parole.

She was accused of stabbing Anthony Hartsfield on June 11, 2011 at their home on Cherry Avenue. They say she stabbed Hartsfield once with a stainless steel kitchen knife in front of four children.

Last week a Dougherty County jury found Ballard guilty.
