Police make arrest after early morning shooting

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Police have charged a 28-year-old Dougherty County man with Aggravated Assault after an early morning shooting.

According to reports, around 4 am Saturday a shooting occurred in the 1200 block of East Roosevelt Ave. Aretavis Washington has been charged and taken to the Dougherty County Jail.

Demetrius Spann was taken to the hospital after being shot in the neck. Police say he is in stable condition.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are asked to call crime stoppers at 229-436-TIPS.
