CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Since early  September, the Cordele Police Department and the Crisp County Sheriff's Office have investigated a rash of break-ins, but the Pine Acres neighborhood was hit the hardest.

"We were able to use that to link some possible suspects involving that incidents and then also on Sunday September 30 through them morning of the 30th we begin to arrest the suspects involved in these entering autos," said Ben Bray, Crisp Co. Sheriff Office.

They arrested Christopher Bagley, Mathew Pettus and Jarvis Porter. After the arrest, the two agencies were called back to the same neighborhood in for another disturbance.

"We were able to discover that a burglary had also taken place in that same subdivision and they were able to identify the subject that was involved in that burglary," said Bray.

That suspect was Deryian Harvey, who was picked up by the police Thursday night and escaped. He was arrested by the sheriff's office this morning. Both agencies feel the car break-in's and the home burglary are connected.

September 11 was the one that really linked to say they all seemed to be involved which is the method of operation of how they did it," said Andrew Roufs.

Investigators say the men got in the cars and homes because of unlocked doors.
