Store manager held by gang of crooks

DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

Douglas Police are looking for a group of men who apparently tried to rob a grocery store early Friday morning.

Harvey's assistant manager Kenny Cobb says he was attacked by four men, and kidnapped when he arrived home from work around two this morning.

The men made the manager drive them back to the store, where they wanted him to open the safe.

The manager says one of the men walked with him to the door, but the man jumped back into his car and left when another employee pulled into the parking.

The vehicle the men were driving later found near North Manilla Avenue and West Jackson Street.

If you can provide any information on this incident, call the Douglas Police Department at 912-384-2222
