ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany car dealership is giving a helping hand to an area high school.

Sunbelt Ford on Slappey Boulevard donated $20 for every person that test drove a vehicle Saturday. It's all part of the "Drive for your School" event.

The money will help the Westover High School Football team buy new equipment and uniforms. The team say they're appreciative the support.

"We had a steady stream of people come out to support us. It's always helps when you have a big win the night before so we appreciate the community coming out to show their support for us here," said Octavia Jones, Head Football Coach.

More than a hundred people came out to support the event.
