Barber shop burglarized

Owner Johnny Burroughs Owner Johnny Burroughs
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Burglars smashed a hole in an East Albany barber shop wall. The owner says it's the sixth time his shop has been burglarized, the second time this year.

The old side door at Burroughs' Barber Shop, in the 1400 block of Clark Avenue, is boarded back up again now. Burglars smashed through the boarded up wall yesterday morning, ransacking the barber shop.

Owner Johnny Burroughs said luckily the crooks did not take his barber tools. "Candy and Sodas. But it wasn't no blades or tools or anything I'm missing. Probably some young kids I would say," said Burroughs.

Burroughs had that door boarded up more securely. Even though he has burglar bars over all the other doors and windows, he is improving his security with surveillance cameras and alarms.
