BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Bridge repairs needed after a crash will require contractors to close the eastbound lanes of U.S. 84/27 Business/Dothan Road beginning Tuesday, October 8th.

Georgia DOT officials will close the lanes beginning at 8 a.m. and detour traffic through State Route 253 Spur/Airport Road and State Route 253/Spring Creek Road.

Traffic going west will not be affected.

Meanwhile, the existing closure of one southbound lane of U.S. 27/Colquitt Hwy. on the affected overpass will remain in place until the repairs are complete.

Drivers are reminded to pay special attention and proceed cautiously through the area.
