The Dougherty County interim superintendent will stay on the job.
The State Board of Education says the county can list him as a part-time employee so he can continue collecting his retirement pay.
Thursday, the state board unanimously passed a waiver for the school system. The Rules Committee met Wednesday and made the recommendation to approve the waiver. A new law prohibited Mosely from collecting his state retirement benefits if he works full time.
His retirement salary is over $155,000, and he makes $175,000 from the Dougherty School Board.
Mosely's contract was up on Tuesday, but it will now be extended until June 30th as school board members search for a permanent replacement.
School board members will amend his contract during their meeting Friday.
