SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Dept.'s Southside Precinct Detectives are trying to identify a man caught on surveillance video entering vehicles at a Savannah business.

The video captured a man on Sunday, checking locks and looking into windows of seven vehicles parked outside an auto repair shop in the 6600 block of Abercorn Street, according to police. The video also showed the man looking inside and trying to open doors leading to the shop's office. It happened between 9:29 p.m. and 10:22 p.m. Sunday.

Items were reported missing from at least one car. Detectives are investigating whether items are missing from the other vehicles.  

The suspect is described as a well-groomed, light-skinned black male or darker skinned white male. He is about 6'2" and weighs about 175 lbs. He was last seen leaving the scene on foot heading north.
