SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The two-day, 2013 Georgia Green Economy Summit is wrapping up at Savannah State University.

This year's theme: "What will it take for the Coastal Empire to become the silicon marsh?" The Center for High Tech Activity is similar to that found in Silicon Valley in California.

Laura Turner Seydel, National Environmental Advocate and the chairperson of the Captain Planet Foundation, participated in the summit. WTOC's Dawn Baker interviewed Seydel.

"It is so important to educate youth. The Captain Planet Foundation is focused on K-12, but our college students need to be fully engaged and they need to know what their options are and be inspired by what they hear," Seydel said.

Bruce Karas, vice president of the environment and sustainability division of Coca-Cola, also spoke at the summit.
