VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police are asking for help in finding a man caught on surveillance video hitting a convenience store clerk and robbing the store.

Officials are looking for Demetrius Anderson, 20, of Valdosta.

Police say he hit the owner of the Lee's Mini Mart on Ann Street in the face, then jumped over the counter, took money from the cash register, and ran away on September 19.

Anyone with information regarding the crime is urged to call Valdosta Police at 229-293-3145 or can call and remain anonymous at 229-293-3091.
