COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Hispanic people from different states were in Midtown Columbus on Wednesday.

The Goodwill Center in Cross Country Plaza is hosting a Mexican Consulate Fair until Friday.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 6.4 percent of Columbus residents are Latino or Hispanic.

Consulates help with passports, Mexican-government issued IDs, and other legal documentation's

"This is my first time here," said Maria Romero, sophomore at Spencer High School. "I came here to get my passport and other documents for school but it's really simple to get it because you have to sign papers and just wait in line for your turn."

It takes several weeks to get passports and IDs, but clients can get their documentation's done in one day.
